Children are always learning everyday. From reading, listening to others, talking to other people, or other ways, children are always learning about things in life. As teachers it is our job to find ways in order to help them learn in some ways. The problem though is that every student has different intelligence’s. Group 10’s video about multiple intelligence’s is necessary to know because everyone learns in different ways. The problem is that in schools most teachers just have lessons that are aimed at one form of learning, instead of knowing how to bring in all forms of intelligence. The video showed projects that could be used to help all students with different means of intelligence use them so all students benefit. At one time it was believed that babies could never learn and that they were never learning. Now a days, this theory has been proven false as babies are indeed learning, they just need help in doing this. In Group 8’s link about reading stories to babies, this method actually helps them learn words, sound, pictures, and other ways that can help them to learn the material. In our book on page 106 Box 4.6 a grandfather is reading to his grandchild and through the reading he has the child sound out what he is saying and uses the pictures to relate to things in real life. Like the link about reading, this box can use this method to help infants learn more than they already know. Through the links, videos, or the readings, all children learn in different ways and at young ages. It is important as our jobs as teachers in order for us to find ways to use their ways of learning and how to help them in order for our students to gain better understandings and make learning more enjoyable and easier to comprehend.
